Fundamentals Of Draft Horseshoeing - Dvd
FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAFT HORSESHOEING. Resident farrier at Cornell University, Mike Wildenstein, is well known for his wonderful clinics. In this video he demonstrates how to pull a shoe, trim the hoof, shape a shoe, and nail it on. He also shows what to do when your horse throws a shoe and breaks the hoof wall. His video covers caring for hooves of the work horse, rather than the show horse (no Scotch bottoms here). Although he demonstrates some basic forge work his emphasis is on the proper trimming of a hoof. Scenes of draft horses at work in the field and running for pure pleasure make this videotape entertaining as well as informative. 60 minutes.
