Denoix Collateral Shoe Hind A
DENOIX COLLATERAL SHOE HIND A
NOT ALL SIZES ARE STOCKED IN STORE PLEASE CALL TO SEE AVAILABILITY.
Designed by Jean-Marie Denoix, DVM, PhD. For horses lacking symmetry where the contracted side is supported by the wide branch. Soft tissue injuries that require support are helped by the wide branch while bone lesions can be helped with the narrow branch by reducing pressure. The projection medially on the narrow branch is to engage the bars. (This is the lateral left hind or medial right hind shoe.)
This asymmetric shoe with a wide branch to support under collateral ligament injuries and a narrow branch to reduce pressure under subchondral bone lesions (i.e. bone spavin).
Indications: Collateral desmopathies: put the wide branch under the lesion. Subchondral bone injuries: put the narrow branch on the side of the lesion.
Sizes 5-10 are 3/8" aluminum stock.
Sizes 10-12 are made from 1/2" aluminum.
Sold as eaches.
